Its been a long time I have been living in Cochin, being a bengali I have always been craving for bengali sweets. Finally I found some awesome places to crunch my cravings. So, here I am listing down two of my favorite spots.
- Bikash Babu Sweets – This is the only place in Cochin which serves authentic bengali sweets. Other than the usual bengali sweets they also have different types of chaats, lassi, badam milk, rasagulla, jalebi, kheer, rasmalai, malpua and carrot halwa. It is a small place with no sitting arrangement, so takeout or ordering through zomato or swiggy is preferable. The place does have very friendly bengali staffs and the price is somewhat high but its worth the quality. They are located in two places in Cochin, one is in Kadavanthara and the other is in Kaloor.
- Annapurna Sweets – This place does not serve authentic bengali sweets but they have chaats and jalebis to die for. They are located in Kadavanthara and the parking is a bit difficult since it is on the main side of the road. However, if you are lucky enough you will get parking next to the shop. We can also order through zomato and swiggy.
Hope this helps all the foodies who have sweet tooth and are looking to have a taste of some delicious bengali sweets.
